Behind the prequel spinoff series are co-creator/showrunner/executive producer Ryan Condal; co-creator/executive producer George R.R. Martin; executive producers Sara Hess, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Vince Gerardis, David Hancock, and Philippa Goslett. If you weren’t aware, “House of the Dragon” is based on Martin’s book “Fire & Blood,” which explores the history of the Targaryens.
Season 3 of “House of the Dragon” isn’t the only ‘Thrones’ project on the horizon, as they’re currently filming the second season of “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,” and Warner Bros. announced at CinemaCon in Las Vegas that their big feature film event will be titled “Game of Thrones: Aegon’s Conquest,” focusing on the bloody events that led to the creation of the iron throne and Ageon Targaryen’s control of Westeros.
Check out the new teaser trailer for “House of the Dragon” below, as the Targaryen civil war will be further explored this summer. We also learned today that the eight-episode season will conclude with the finale airing/streaming on August 9.
