Dave Franco (“Together”) and Sophie Wilde (“Babygirl”) have been enlisted for main roles in a gestating alien-invasion thriller with a neat title, “Soon You Will Be Gone & Possibly Eaten,” that is, as you might imagine, heading to the Cannes Film Market.
Director Egor Abramenko (“Altar,” “Sputnik”) helms from a script by the writing duo of Luke Piotrowski and Ben Collins (“Hellraiser,” “The Night House”), which is based on a short story from Nick Antosca (creator/showrunner of the upcoming Apple TV series remake of “Cape Fear“).

As per the logline mentioned by Deadline in their reporting, “Rob and Sabile (Franco and Wilde), a young engaged couple, head to a secluded mountain resort to take their vows and step into the new chapter of their shared lives. What was planned as a joyous wedding attended by family members takes a different turn when unexpected guests crash the ceremony.”
Franco is coming off Lionsgate‘s magician heist flick “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t” and has Macon Blair‘s “Idiots” heading to theaters on August 28. You may remember that Wilde made waves in the A24 horror film “Talk To Me” from The Philippou Brothers and nabbed the lead role in the “Watch Dogs” movie based on the Ubisoft cyberpunk video game at New Regency.
“Soon You Will Be Gone & Possibly Eaten” was developed/produced by Anonymous Content, Eat The Cat, and Divide/Conquer alongside Dawn Olmstead. Also, Anton is fully financing the sci-fi thriller and handling worldwide rights with pre-sales continuing during Cannes. North American sales are said to be handled by Anton, Anonymous Content, and WME Independent.
