If you didn’t already know, Molly Gordon (“The Bear”) is set to star and direct the A24 comedy “Peaked,” which has landed quite a large casting update as a slew of additions to the call-sheet are going to be joining Gordon, Allie Levitan (“Saturday Night Live”), and Emma Mackey (“Ella McCay”).
Deadline has revealed that Laura Dern (“Is This Thing On?”), Simone Ashley (“Bridgerton”), Levon Hawke (“Blink Twice”), Mitra Jouhari (“The Big Sick”), and Gabby Windey (“The Traitors”) have been enlisted for the new A24 project.

Filming on “Peaked” is said to begin next month, as the comedy was penned by Gordon and Levitan (who is a comedy writer). It will focus on “two girls who traumatized you in high school as they try to relive their glory days at their 10-year reunion.”
Also, the outlet is mentioning that “Heated Rivary” breakout Connor Storrie is circling a part in the flick. Storrie stars in the buzzy gay romance series set within the world of professional hockey that has become sort of a phenomenon for HBO Max/Crave.
A24 will be financing “Peaked” and producing alongside David Hinojosa, Zach Nutman, and Gordon, with Levitan set as executive producer. Some of Gordon’s other acting credits include “Shiva Baby,” “Booksmart,” and “Theater Camp” (which she co-directed with Nick Lieberman).
Additionally, Nexus Point News, which is developing a decent track record with casting stories, reported in December that Gordon’s “The Bear” co-star and boyfriend, Jeremy Allen White (“The Mandalorian & Grogu”), is potentially joining, too. White was most recently seen portraying Bruce Springsteen in the Scott Cooper-directed biopic “Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere.”
