Netflix, after adapting the Harlan Coben novel “Missing You” and releasing earlier in the year, is back with “Run Away,” another series based on Coben’s published work, and the streaming service has dropped a new trailer showcasing what is in store for audiences as the mystery thriller series looks to be another one to keep an eye on.
The impressive cast assembled for “Run Away” features James Nesbitt, Ruth Jones, Minnie Driver, Alfred Enoch, Lucian Msamati, Jon Pointing, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Annette Badland, Maeve Courtier-Lilley, Ellie de Lange, Adrian Greensmith, Ellie Henry, Ingrid Oliver, Finty Williams, Joe McGann, Amy Gledhill, and more.
An official synopsis for the upcoming mystery series via Netflix:
Simon (Nesbitt) had the perfect life: loving wife and kids, great job, beautiful home. But then his eldest daughter, Paige, ran away, and everything fell apart. So now, when he finds her, vulnerable and strung out on drugs in a city park, he finally has the chance to bring his little girl home. But it turns out she’s not alone, and an argument escalates into shocking violence. In the aftermath, Simon loses his daughter all over again, and his search to find her will take him into a dangerous underworld, revealing deep secrets that could tear his family apart forever.
Danny Brocklehurst (“Fool Me Once,” “Brassic,” “Ten Pound Poms,” “Shameless”) leads a team of writers that also consists of Tom Farrelly, Amanda Duke, and Charlotte Coben. “Run Away” hails from Quay Street Productions with a producing team that includes Guy Hescott, Will McDonagh, Harlan Coben, Nicola Shindler, Richard Fee, Brocklehurst, Nimer Rashed, and Charlotte Coben.
