You, Me & Tuscany’ Trailer: Halle Bailey & Regé-Jean Page Star In Italian-Set Romantic Comedy From ‘She-Hulk’ Director Kat Coiro

Universal Pictures and director Kat Corio are behind a new Italian-set rom-com called “You, Me & Tuscany” that has Halle Bailey (“The Little Mermaid”) and Regé-Jean Page (“Black Bag”) playing the two heartthrob leads, with others among the cast such as Lorenzo de Moor, Isabella Ferrari, Aziza Scott, Marco Calvani, and Nia Vardalos.

The studio has sent over the new trailer for the romantic pic (filmed on location around Italy’s Amalfi Coast) to share, just in time for Valentine’s Day, as “Me, You & Tuscany” heads to domestic, the United Kingdom, and Irish theaters on April 10.

An official synopsis for the new Corio movie, courtesy of Universal:

Halle Bailey stars as Anna, a young woman who has abandoned her dreams of becoming a chef and is now drifting through her twenties with a series of bad choices. When Anna loses her house-sitting job (and housing) in one fell swoop, a chance encounter with Matteo—a handsome Italian who happens to have a villa sitting empty in Tuscany- will inspire her to jet off for Italy, against the advice of her always-honest bestie, Claire (Aziza Scott). But Anna’s plan to crash at Matteo’s villa, without permission, just for one night, falls apart when Matteo’s mother, Gabriella (Isabella Ferrari) shows up at the house unexpectedly. In a panic, Anna allows Gabriella to believe that she is Matteo’s fiancée. That little lie becomes a big problem, though, when Matteo’s cousin, Michael (Regé-Jean Page) shows up, and Anna discovers that the heat between them may ignite a fire that will transform her life.

If you weren’t already aware, Corio previously directed the rom-com “Marry Me” starring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson as an unlikely romantic pairing, “A Case of You,” “Life Happens,” and she also helmed six out of nine episodes of Marvel‘s meta-superhero series, “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.” Other TV credits include “The Mick,” “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” and Kathy Bates‘ recent “Matlock” revival.
