Diesel recently signed on for a “Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots” film based on the classic toy and is assumed to reprise the role of Groot in Marvel’s “Guardians of The Galaxy 3” as well.

The actor is looking to continue the rollercoaster of action roles as Diesel will be reuniting with “Fate of The Furious” director F. Gary Gray for an upcoming action-comedy, titled “Muscle,” that is at STXfilms and will begin production later this year, according to a report from Deadline

They first worked together on “A Man Apart” back in 2003.

However, there isn’t much in the way of plot details mentioned for “Muscle,” but given Gray’s previous credits in the genre, we should expect some entertaining action sequences are being cooked up. The project is written by “Falcon & Winter Soldier” head writer Malcolm Spellman and “Into The Storm”John Swetnam. Spellman is coming off an exciting run with the popular Marvel Studios series that just had its finale debut today on Disney+. “Falcon & Winter Soldier” was able to mix action alongside an exploration of the black experience in America, which is certainly a complex way of telling a superhero story.

The screenwriting duo is working off an original script from Scott Taylor and Wesley Jermaine Johnson.
