Lionsgate has shared a new trailer for their upcoming horror feature “Do Not Enter,” which is coming to theaters later this year.
Marc Klasfeld directs from a screenplay penned by Stephen Susco, Spencer Mandel, and Dikega Hadnot, which is based on the David Morrell novel “Creepers” published back in 2005.
The group of actors assembled for “Do Not Enter” features talent such as Jake Manley, Adeline Rudolph, Francesca Reale, Shane Paul McGhie, Kai Caster, Javier Botet, with Nicholas Hamilton, Brennan Keel Cook, Catrina Shank, and Laurence O’Fuarain. We see them playing a group of urban explorers, The Creepers, seeking hidden loot worth $300 million while supernatural creatures are stalking them.
If you’re not aware, Morrell is notably the veteran author who created the John Rambo character via the 1975 book, “First Blood,” that spawned the Sly Stallone franchise (which is getting a reboot with a new origin tale set during the Vietnam War).
“Do Not Enter” sounds like a mix between “The Descent“ (another previous Lionsgate release) and Walter Hill‘s “Trespass,” not exactly the run-of-the-mill idea for a horror pic.
An official logline for the new pic via Lionsgate:
The Creepers are thrill-seeking urban explorers who love pushing things to the edge, and their latest stunt – livestreaming from New Jersey’s abandoned Paragon Hotel – is their biggest yet. With its mobster past, supposed ghosts, and rumored stash of $300 million, the Paragon is catnip to the Creepers, a surefire way to increase their fanbase. But fear has other plans. Daring to enter the Paragon, not heeding the warnings, the Creepers fend off deadly rivals while supernatural creatures stalk them from the shadows, testing their endurance, sanity, and willingness to pay fame’s heavy price.
