'Only Murders In The Building': David Tennant, Nicola Coughlan, Jodie Whittaker, Richard Ayoade, Jim Broadbent & More Join Season 6

Hulu‘s “Only Murders In The Building,” starring Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steven Martin, is returning for a sixth season, and with that comes a string of high-profile actors who are lining up for the next batch of episodes, as it looks like the trio is heading over to the United Kingdom, with filming currently taking place there as the investigation into the death of Cinda Canning (played by Tina Fey) continues.

That new wave of reoccuring guest stars assembled for Season 6 as revealed by a report from Variety will include David Tennant (“Doctor Who,” “Rivals”), Nicola Coughlan (“Bridgerton,” “Derry Girls”), Jodie Whittaker (“Doctor Who,” “Broadchurch”), Jim Broadbent (“Moulin Rouge,” “Hot Fuzz”), Adrian Lukis (“The Crown,” “The War Between the Land and the Sea”), Richard Ayoade (“The IT Crowd,” “Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace”), and Kathryn Hunter (“The Tragedy of Macbeth,” “Poor Things”).

Some of the other names being mentioned for the streaming show include Martin Freeman, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Jamie Demetriou, Anjana Vasan, Jane Horrocks, Derek Jacobi, Lesley Nicol, Jennifer Saunders, Sean Teale, Simone Ashley, Amar Chadha-Patel, Rhea Norwood, Matthew Beard, and Sharon Horgan.

If you remember, last season’s guest stars included Tea Leoni, Bobby Cannavale, Keegan-Michael Key, Dianne West, Beanie Feldstein, Jermaine Fowler, Renee Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, Logan Lerman, and others. However, it is unclear if some or any of those actors will be back in cameos or flashbacks. Given the slew of new talent from the United Kingdom, we don’t know if that will be in the cards or not.

“Only Murders in the Building” is co-created and written by Martin and John Hoffman, who are also part of the executive producer team alongside Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, Ben Smith, Jennifer Crittenden, and Gabrielle Allan.
