Writer/director Julia Jackman is behind the new romantic fantasy film “100 Nights of Hero,” which landed a teaser trailer that we can share. An adaptation of Isabel Greenberg‘s graphic novel “The One Hundred Nights of Hero.”
“100 Nights of Hero” boasts a fantastic cast that features Maika Monroe (“Longles,” “The Following”), Emma Corrin (“Deadpool & Wolverine,” “Nosferatu”), Nicholas Galitzine (“The Idea of You”), Charli XCX, Felicity Jones (“The Brutalist”), and Richard E. Grant (“Loki,” “Death of A Unicorn”).
An official logline for the pic, courtesy of IFC Films:
When her neglectful husband departs after placing a secret wager to test her fidelity, Cherry (Monroe) and her sharp-witted maid, Hero (Corrin), must fend off a dangerously seductive visitor: Manfred (Galitzine).
Stephanie Aspin, Helen Simmons, and Grant S. Johnson lead the film’s producing team. The movie will have its world premiere during Venice Critics’ Week’s Closing Night at the Venice Film Festival, before an exclusive theatrical debut on December 5, allowing a general audience access to the new fantasy film.
This footage from Jackman’s new movie certainly gives the impression it’ll have some subdued Julie Taymor or Tarsem fantasy vibes with some of the costumes alongside a tone that feels similar to some of Yorgos Lanthimos‘ projects.
