We were pretty stoked when director Chris Struckmann (a notable voice from the film fan community on YouTube) teamed up with producer Mike Flanagan for his original indie horror movie “Shelby Oaks,” and distributor NEON has sent over a new trailer for the film that is heading to theaters on October 24.
This would be a fitting release date given the proximity to Halloween, and we’re hopeful it’ll find an audience after some strong/promising critical reactions. The main cast assembled for the buzzy missing person horror flick features Camille Sullivan, Brendan Sexton III, Michael Beach, Robin Bartlett, and veteran actor Keith David (“They Live,” “The Thing”).

Here is the film’s brief logline via NEON:
A woman’s obsessive search for her missing sister leads her into a terrifying mystery at the hands of an unknown evil.
Flanagan, who has become a rather big name in the horror genre himself over the last couple of decades on both the big and small screen, recently worked with NEON on his feature “The Life of Chuck” and wrote the upcoming DC Studios‘ body horror movie “Clayface,” focusing on the shapeshifting Batman rogue.
Hopefully, we’ll see more from Struckmann as this is a pretty huge moment for the filmmaker, as we don’t exactly know what’s next for him.
You can view that aforementioned trailer for “Shelby Oaks” below, as we can’t wait to see how audiences will react to the new horror project.
