When it rains, it pours. We’ve known for a while now that Bradley Cooper‘s untitled “Ocean’s 11” prequel film would end up having a hefty group of well-known actors on the call sheet, and they’ve added another trio of actors to star alongside Margot Robbie and Cooper. Robbie revealed at CinemaCon in Las Vegas back in April that it would focus on Danny Ocean’s parents (seemingly a pivot of sorts, as there was an expectation from early plot details that it would be about legendary thief Gaspar LeMarc, who was established in “Ocean’s 12“)
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that actors such as Vicky Krieps (“Phantom Thread”), George MacKay (“The Beast,” “1917”), and Omar Sy (“The Intouchables”). The main plot of the heist flick will take place at the 1963 Monaco Grand Prix, the racing event allowing for a stream of international actors to inhabit various roles.

Two others have taken roles as well, as those names are Lauren Ridloff (“The Walking Dead,” “Eternals”) and lesser-known British actor Jack Holden. They also join Wagner Moura (“Narcos,” “The Secret Agent”), Monica Barbaro (“Top Gun: Maverick”), and Josh Gad (“Spaceballs 2”), who had been revealed for roles previously, with Moura said to be playing the main bad guy.
Sy, a beloved French actor, is one of the most on-the-nose additions after playing the iconic titular thief character in the “Lupin” live-action series on Netflix (based on the popular anime franchise), so certainly no stranger to the world of heist stories. He’s also likely known to Western audiences thanks to roles in event films such as “Jurassic World” and playing the live-action version of time-traveling mutant hero Bishop in “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”
We’ll be thrilled to see if a younger iteration of LeMarc (Albert Finney) will be appearing in the project helmed by Bradley Cooper, which is expected to mostly be shot in the United Kingdom and mainland Europe over the summer (giving them plenty of wiggle room), as the 1960s setting could open the door for older characters from the franchise to have young versions show up. Some of those could be Reuben Tishkoff (Elliot Gould), Saul Bloom (Carl Reiner), Denny Shields (Jerry Weintraub), and Linus Caldwell’s parents (also, established thieves played by Bob Einstein and Cherry Jones).
Hopefully, Warner Bros. will finally give the film an official title in the coming months, as they’ve already set the pic’s release date for June 25, 2027.
