Jamie Dornan Joins Gal Gadot In Netflix Spy Thriller 'Heart Of Stone'

Already having made history at Netflix with the record-breaking “Red Notice,” Gal Gadot (“Wonder Woman”) will be returning to the streaming service for another genre film, “Heart of Stone.” Tom Harper, the helmer behind “Wild Rose,” directs from a script penned by comic book writer Greg Rucka (“The Old Guard”) and Allison Schroeder(“Frozen II,” “Hidden Figures”). What’s more, the actress has been paired with quite the charming fellow.

Coming off the success of Kenneth Branagh’s awards-friendly drama “Belfast,” Irish actor Jamie Dornan is taking a step forward towards bigger studio projects and will now dip his toes in the spy genre for Netflix. According to Deadline, Dornan has nabbed a co-starring role opposite Gadot in the Skydance spy thriller.

Plot details for “Heart of Stone” are being kept under wraps for the time being, but they are said to have an “international” aspect. Perhaps, this means Dornan will be able to use his natural accent in the pic, and we’ll be excited to learn if he’ll be playing friend or foe. Dornan can be seen next in HBO’s new series “The Tourist” and recently took a comedic turn in “Barb & Star Go To Vista Del Mar.”

Gadot is busy as can be with “Death On The Nile” coming out soon (also helmed by Branagh) and a flurry of projects on the docket like two “Red Notice” sequels, a remake of “To Catch A Thief,” “Wonder Woman 3” and “Cleopatra.” The DCEU sequel might take a little longer to get in front of cameras as director Patty Jenkins is currently busy trying to make “Star Wars: Rogue Squadron” for Lucasfilm after some development hiccups.
