'Paris, 13th District' Trailer: Debuts In Theaters & VOD On April 15

French filmmaker Jacques Audiard, known for fantastic underrated outings such as “A Prophet” and “Rust & Bone,” returns this spring with his latest film “Paris, 13th District.” A new film focusing on a group of Millennials in Paris, ‘13th District’ follows a group of 20-30 somethings as they navigate the romantic entanglements in a modern world of dating apps and technology. Audiard’s film is based on a graphic novel and competed at last year’s Cannes Film Festival. “Paris, 13th District” was written by Audiard, Léa Mysius, equally-celebrated French filmmaker Céline Sciamma, and Adrian Tomine.

IFC Films has dropped a new trailer (see below) and has announced the pic will be released domestically next month, giving audiences multiple viewing options as it will be heading to both theaters and VOD.

“Paris, 13th District” stars Lucie Zhang, Makita Samba, and Noémie Merlant as the characters the movie follows.

Our own review from last year for “Paris, 13th District” during Cannes generally enjoyed what Audiard was offering with the new movie stating the cast has onscreen chemistry “vibrates” between cast members. Here is the film’s official logline from IFC:

Émilie rents her spare room to a handsome teacher, but the two quickly become flatmates with benefits. Nora is mistaken for a webcam porn star and decides to track her counterpart down. Adapting a graphic novel by frequent New Yorker illustrator Adrian Tomine and filming in beautifully muted black and white in a decidedly unromantic corner of the City of Lights, Palme d’Or winner Audiard (A Prophet, Dheepan) explores love and longing in the 21st century.
