Later this year, fans of “Downton Abbey” will be able to watch one more story told on the big screen with “Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale” coming out in September, and Focus Features has dropped a new trailer spotlighting the return of the Crawleys and their loyal staff.
The latest chapter has a cast assembled for what is being hyped up as the final feature iteration of the beloved British period drama series, which consists of Simon Russell Beale, Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Raquel Cassidy, Brendan Coyle, Michelle Dockery, Kevin Doyle, Michael Fox, Joanne Froggatt, Paul Giamatti, Harry Hadden-Paton, Robert James-Collier, Allen Leech, Phyllis Logan, Elizabeth McGovern, Sophie McShera, Lesley Nicol, Alessandro Nivola, Dominic West, Penelope Wilton, Arty Froushan, Joely Richardson, Paul Copley, and Douglas Reith.

The cinematic return of the global phenomenon follows the Crawley family and their staff as they enter the 1930s. When Mary finds herself at the center of a public scandal and the family faces financial trouble, the entire household grapples with the threat of social disgrace. The Crawleys must embrace change as the staff prepares for a new chapter with the next generation leading Downton Abbey into the future.
Simon Curtis, who previously helmed “Downton Abbey: A New Era,” returns to direct from a script penned by series creator and Oscar-winner Julian Fellowes with a producing team that includes Gareth Neame, Fellowes, Liz Trubridge, and Nigel Marchant.
