‘IT: Welcome To Derry’ Trailer: Pennywise Returns To Terrorize Children In Prequel Series Premiering October 26 On HBO Max

Director Andy Muschietti and Warner Bros. have reunited after the two recent “IT” movies for “IT: Welcome To Derry,” a prequel series expanding the sci-fi horror world of Pennywise the Dancing Clown, a kid-eating interdimensional creature that takes the form of a clown and scares the bees out of kids as their fear makes them more delicious to the evil entity.

HBO Max, where the show is going to air, has released a trailer for the show that features a new cast of characters (taking inspiration from the Stephen King source material) as the small town of Derry, Maine, suffers at the hands of Pennywise, and a new group of kids tries to combat this horrific threat in 1962.

Bill Skarsgård reprises the Pennywise role, an even creepier and chilling version than the original take from the legend, Tim Curry. Others in the cast include Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, and Rudy Mancuso.

We’re also expected to see more time jumps as the next two seasons of “IT: Welcome To Derry” are said to be set in 1935 and 1908, respectively. Allowing the show to explore the deadly events leading up to his demise in the feature films, also helmed by Muschietti.
