Zendaya Says She “Thinks” That ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Will Be The End: “That Closure Is Coming”

It’s almost a miracle that Season 3 of “Euphoria” has even been able to come together, as the lead cast of Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, and Hunter Schafer have had various work volume boosts and been in demand since the launch of the HBO Max series, making attempts to schedule everyone an assumed nightmare of logistics.

Zendaya, who has been involved with a multitude of film projects coming out this year, is making the promotional rounds for her latest film, “The Drama,” co-starring Robert Pattinson, and appeared on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” revealing her thoughts on the future of “Euphoria” when asked if this will be the final season.

“Yes, I think so…That closure is coming,” the actress said in response to Drew Barrymore’s pressing questions about the show wrapping up, as she sounds just as invested as any other audience member. Although Zendaya didn’t explain WHY she is under that impression, other than alluding to a conclusion.

“Euphoria” was created by Sam Levinson based on the 2012 Israeli iteration that hails from Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin, and debuted back in the first half of 2019 on HBO. Of course, it quickly became an extremely popular show given the comedic and dark tones it explores with its cast of young characters, making stars out of the bulk of the actors. There seemed to be a point where Season 3 nearly didn’t happen, so we’re not entirely shocked by these comments from Zendaya potentially telegraphing that this could be the end of the line for the series (or at least for her).

The actress’ other big studio films coming to screens later in the year include Destin Daniel Cretton‘s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” (the latest MCU event pic sees her co-starring alongside her new hubby, Tom Holland), swinging to theaters in late July, and returns to the warrior role of Chani in Denis Villeneuve‘s final chapter in his sci-fi fantasy trilogy with “Dune: Part Three” (reuniting with Pattinson).

You can watch that exchange between Zendaya and Barrymore below, as “Euphoria” is set to make its debut on April 12. We’ll just have to wait to hear an announcement on the fate of the series officially from HBO or Levinson.
