The Russo Brothers, via their production banner AGBO, are putting together yet another streaming series with “Prism,” a ghost show at Netflix that has tapped Millie Bobby Brown to star, with Rachel Brosnahan set to executive produce the project.
This casting news comes to us from Deadline, as they also mention that Etan Frankel (“Shameless”) will be the showrunner/writer, and Brown will play “Cassie, a woman with the unique ability to communicate with apparitions, who must uncover the cause of a newly discovered phenomenon that causes ‘visitors’ (ghosts) to appear all over the world before it’s too late.”
We’ve previously seen the Russos dabble in the world of television with a string of “Citadel” shows at Prime Video, although that expensive streaming spy franchise will see its spinoffs end.
Marvel has tasked the Russo Brothers to helm the next two “Avengers” with “Doomsday” recently wrapping in London with “Avengers: Secret Wars” on deck next. They previously worked with Brown on the sci-fi adventure movie “The Electric State,” which was also at Netflix, where the actress has been mostly making her projects recently, as the final season of “Stranger Things” debuts later this year on November 26.
Brosnahan is coming off the summer blockbuster “Superman,” playing the latest iteration of Lois Lane, with the production on James Gunn‘s follow-up “Man of Tomorrow” expected to begin shooting next year, and she is leading the second season of legal drama “Presumed Innocent” for Apple TV.
