Denzel Washington, Robert Pattinson, and Daisy Edgar-Jones had been previously announced to topline “Here Comes The Flood,” a high-profile Netflix heist thriller that will be helmed by Brazilian filmmaker Fernando Meirelles from a script penned by Simon Kinberg (“Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” “Sherlock Holmes”). Four more additions have been announced to the cast, after Pattinson revealed not too long ago that production was currently underway in New York City.
Those newly announced additions to the call sheet are Danai Gurira (“Black Panther,” “The Walking Dead”), Sean Harris (“Prometheus,” “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation”), Moisés Arias (“Jockey”), and Justin Kirk (“Succession”), according to reporting from Deadline.

“Here Comes The Flood” is said to be “an unconventional heist thriller centered on a bank guard, a teller, and a master thief caught in a deadly game of cons and double crosses.”
Meirelles recently worked with Netflix for his acclaimed awards-caliber drama “The Two Popes” (Jonathan Pryce and Anthony Hopkins both earned Oscar nominations for their performances). He first made quite the splash in the thriller genre with “City of God” (Meirelles would nab a Best Director Oscar nomination in 2004), a sprawling Brazilian crime epic, the sci-fi drama “Blindness,” and the grim political thriller based on the John Le Carré novel “The Constant Gardener,” which starred Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz.
Could more big names join the cast of “Here Comes The Flood”? That remains to be seen, but given the names already attached, any roles could be super attractive for those willing to get involved.
