NEON is behind a new horror film coming to theaters in May, as Irish writer/director Damian McCarthy (“Oddity”) is exploring the world of occult and witches with his new upcoming feature film effort, “HOKUM,” which just landed a teaser trailer.
“HOKUM” sees “Severance” star Adam Scott playing a horror novelist named Ohm Bauman, who visits a remote Irish inn to spread his parents’ ashes, unaware the place is rumored to be haunted by a witch. We’ll also see David Wilmot, Austin Amelio, Florence Ordesh, Peter Coonan, and others among the cast.

An official logline courtesy of NEON:
When reclusive novelist Ohm Bauman (Scott) retreats to a remote Irish inn to scatter his parents’ ashes, the staff’s tales of an ancient witch haunting the honeymoon suite take hold of his mind. Soon, disturbing visions and a shocking disappearance draw him into a nightmarish confrontation with the darkest corners of his past.
