'Better Call Saul' Creator Teases A Bryan Cranston & Aaron Paul Appearance

AMC‘s “Breaking Bad” and the prequel series “Better Call Saul” are both landmark television shows, giving audiences a unique modern spin on the crime epic and fitting nicely alongside HBO‘s “Sopranos” and “The Wire.” As things are winding down with the sixth and final season of “Better Call Saul” ending the Albuquerque saga, the show’s co-creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould are weighing in on the possibility of Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul reprising their “Breaking Bad” roles before the curtain closes on the spinoff.

While speaking with Variety during the premiere of the final season, the co-creators teased the potential cameos and Gilligan said (See below) it would be “a damn shame” if it didn’t happen.

“It would be a damn shame if the show ended without [Cranston and Paul] appearing, would it not?” Gillian said on the red carpet.

“If it’s ever going to happen, this is when these two shows start crossing over,” Gould chimed in about the potential arrival of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman being a ticking clock situation.

Cranston has been game for years to appear in the hit spinoff, telling Collider in 2020, “I would be in it if Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, who are co-executive producers on it, wanted me to be in it. I would do it in a second. But it hasn’t happened yet, I can tell you, and we’ll see. I don’t know. There’s one more season to go and we’ll see what happens!”

Audiences will have to keep tuning in to find out if we’ll indeed see Water White and Jesse Pinkman return for “Better Call Saul” as this crime saga comes to end.
