‘Best Offer Wins’: Greta Lee To Produce & Possibly Star In New Hulu Series From ‘Killing Eve’ Showrunner

Between Celine Song‘s breakout debut film “Past Lives,” alongside work on acclaimed streaming shows like Apple‘s “The Morning Show,” and Netflix‘s “Russian Doll,” actress Greta Lee is having a moment and might be aiming to star in “Best Offer Wins,” a new Hulu series she is producing.

Variety reports on Lee’s involvement with Hulu’s adaptation of the Marisa Kashino novel of the same name that is going to be written by Suzanne Heathcote, who was the showrunner on the third season of “Killing Eve.”

Although the outlet is cautious to mention that a deal has yet to be signed, but points out that Lee is aiming to star in “Best Offer Wins” as Margo Miyake, a Washington D.C. publicist trying to secure a dream home for her family.

Other credits linked to Heathcote include “Fear The Walking Dead,” the Tom Holland-led series “The Crowded Room,” “See,” and co-writing “The Thursday Murder Club” for Netflix/Amblin.

The novel’s official synopsis from publisher Celadon Books:

Eighteen months and 11 lost bidding wars into house-hunting in the overheated Washington, DC, suburbs, 37-year-old publicist Margo Miyake gets a tip about the perfect house, in the perfect neighborhood, slated to come up for sale in one month. Desperate to escape the cramped apartment she shares with her husband Ian — and in turn, get their marriage, plan to have a baby, and whole life back on track — Margo becomes obsessed with buying the house before it’s publicly listed and the masses descend (with unbeatable, all-cash offers in hand). A little stalking? Harmless. A bit of trespassing? Necessary. As Margo infiltrates the homeowners’ lives, her tactics grow increasingly unhinged—but just when she thinks she’s won them over, she hits a snag in her plan. Undeterred, Margo will prove again and again that there’s no boundary she won’t cross to seize the dream life she’s been chasing. The most unsettling part? You’ll root for her, even as you gasp in disbelief.

Some of the upcoming projects with the very busy Lee starring include Disney’s cyberpunk adventure legacy sequel “TRON: Ares,” Louis Leterrier‘s sci-fi horror flick “11817” at Netflix that co-stars Wagner Moura, and Kathryn Bigelow‘s highly anticipated military thriller “House of Dynamite,” which will be arriving on October 24.
