'Captain America 4' & 'Loki' Season 2 Add Cast Members [D23 Expo]

While they didn’t unveil the entire cast of “The Fantastic Four,” or whatever it is fans are griping about at the moment, Marvel Studios did reign over Disney’s D23 Expo much as they did at San Diego Comic-Con, earlier this summer, basically owning the entire affair yet again.

And let’s face it, there were plenty of announcements. Marvel’s Kevin Feige did announce some interesting casting additions for “Captain America: New World Order” that will see Anthony Mackie‘s Sam Wilson take over the Captain American mantle on the big screen for the first time after taking over as owner of the shield and adopting a brand new suit in “The Falcon & The Winter Soldier.“

Joining Mackie in the fourth installment will be Shira Haas as Sabra (a mutant in the comics) and veteran actor Tim Blake Nelson, who returns to the MCU as Dr. Samuel Sterns, aka The Leader. Sterns is a major Hulk villain that was teased all the way back in “The Incredible Hulk” and helped create Tim Roth‘s Abomination. Dr. Sterns has also dabbled with a super-solider serum, which could explain why he’s in the film.

“Captain America: New World Order” is also bringing back Danny Ramirez and Carl Lumbly from “The Falcon & The Winter Soldier.” The former is expected to play the new Falcon; the latter is one of the original Black soldiers given the super serum experiment during WWII. Julius Onah directs ‘New World Order’ from a script penned by Dalan Musson and Malcolm Spellman.

Also, there was some news concerning “Loki” season two as they’ve added “Goonies” and “Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom” actor Ke Huy Quan, who recently had a big comeback co-starring alongside Michelle Yeoh in the action-comedy “Everything All At Once.” He’ll join Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, Rafael Casal, and Richard E. Grant.

“Captain America: New World Order” is set to be released on May 3, 2024. “Loki” season two is expected to arrive in mid 2023.
